  2. I have used late model tack strip replacement. Any convertible since 1954 has a bolt in metal tack strip. Hydro-E-Lectric In Punta Gorda, Fl. 800-343-4261 has them on hand. You can cut and fit them to the LC body works great. Lee

I am on my way to check the spark. I store the car in a warehouse. I remember this happened in the 60's and we were shocked to find the problem Thank you. Lee

  9. Look in the door frame for screws. Watch when replacing them that they are not to long and will damage the trim molding.

  11. Yes it is available. Lowered price to $2500. Need space to finish my 1942 Lincoln Continental restoration.
  12. I ground the original rivet off and drilled and tapped it to a 10/32 bolt. Chrome the original rivet and it is now a stud and bolt. Lee

  16. I believe the line was shut down in April. I am looking for the exact date. There were 847 coupes built in 1948 production. Lee
  17. 1942 and early 46 are the same motors. It is almost impossible to tell a 41 to 48 V-12 with out taking them apart and mic the parts. Lee
  18. I had all four fenders off during my rebuild. Remove left grills upper and lower for easy access to nuts I use blaster to remove rust from bolt threads. Remove radio antenna and vacuum tank. Then remove all bolts around fender and it will come off. Lee

  20. I'm finally up to driving my 42 and need to install wipers. I lost the information that was sent before and now I cannot find the e -mails Please ?
  21. My 42 Continental that I purchased 4 years ago is nearing completion. I never checked the radio it was in a bunch of parts. Went to install and found out it is a post war. The speaker is in the dash but requires a connector to the radio. The post war speaker has the wire built in the speaker. I need a post war speaker or the wire to attach the 42 speaker to the radio. Yes I know the face plate and cover are different but this is my fun car I had a senior coupe in 1962 - 63 and had a lot of fun driving it. Now at 75 I'm remembering the fun drives. Lee
  22. I'm trying to update you on my car and my profile. It's taking a few lessons to be able to post this information. Let's see how it comes out. If it works I will add more pictures.
