  2. Did you find one? I have several fit 42 to 48 and they are right or left. They would need chrome plated. I had my pot metal done in Tenn. by Dan's Polishing reasonable and excellent work. Lee

  4. A 1941 overdrive is different than 42 to 48. That looks like a 42 od. The mount is different. Lee
  5. I used Pierce Service Company Punta Gorda, Fl. 941 639 2956. I supplied all parts from Earl Brown and he was very reasonable on labor. His Dad started flatheads in 1932 and he was recommended to me from The Early V-8 club. I just got back from Mirror Lake Classic show and it preformed great. I used the heavy duty oil pump and ran 50 on the highway in OD and idled 20 Lee

Received your 1941 coupe with pictures, I have also seen the Woolworth 41 coupe with padded top but I am working with Dave Bunch who has a 46 with a build sheet that says it had a factory added roof cover. He has had it since 2001 and it is going thru a complete restoration. It has been talked about in old copies of LZOC . I am doing the upholstery and wanted to make sure I was doing the top original. It had been removed before Dave got the Car in 2001. Thank you for all information. Lee

  11. Thank you all advice has helped. I dug out one of my old Motor's manuals and it took me step by step as you suggested and the kick down switch seems to be the problem. Will keep you posted. Lee
  12. Tried wiring a switch to center terminal on solenoid. It clicked but no overdrive. It sounded like pulling into low gear without stopping, a clashing. Tried my Motors Manual but was unable to get anything to click. I had 6v at all points indicated, free wheeling with cable in but no engaging of od transmission. Car sit in N.J. for 45 years when I bought it. Could find no history car Titled in N.J.in 1961 Had a 1942 Ford truck engine that was frozen I went back to V-12 but never checked the transmission and od. Pulled side plate on transmission and all gears were good so I put it back in. All new wiring in car. Any ideas. I hate pulling the car back apart have a show Oct. 18. Lee
  13. The chrome trim is pushed on the edge of the opening before the glass. Joint is at the top center. Small clip covers the joint. The rubber seal is installed on the glass and then installed in the car. A welt the color of the leather goes around the molding and then the screwa are installed thru the molding. It takes time and help is a great asset. Good luck. Lee

Thank you I have spent the last four years working two jobs and restoring my 1942 Lincoln Continental I missed the LZOC page completely I wondered why there was not more action I am 75 and first joined the LCOC in 1959 and the LZOC when it started. I was out from 1982 to 2009 raising 6 children. But now I'm back. Boy how things have changed. Really enjoyed the LZOC page. Thank you for the information on the PC. Lee

  22. I just ordered the Speedway mirror for my 42 Continental coupe. I have the original door hinge mirrors that I got from Narragansett in Kingston, R. I have had Continentals since 1958 and that right side mirror has always been a problem. I.
  23. I have 5 cat whiskers left. They are in need of some repair and there are duplicates. Originally they were right and left and 3 different lengths. If interested I'll try pictures of them. I also have a lot of extra parts if you have a list I'll see if I can help you out. Lee
