1. I was on the phone today with a 37 Sedan owner (barn fresh) who is wondering about "converting"it into a CE. I was discouraging to him, knowing little about how CE's were made in the first place. I think they were sedans out of the factory, maybe were sent to a coach builder in South Bend, and were severed about a foot behind the windshield, and a new rear 2/3 cab was installed, along with the bed, and other accoutrements, such as heavier differential(?) and overload springs (?). I also know the doors are different than coupes or sedans, and the seat is not like any 37 car. Help out there?

Anyway, I think he would like some help on the possibility, and I would like to sell my 37 CE bed if he can develop a plan. Anybody?

2. I don't know where you live, but any local brake shop could do this for you. If you need the wheel and master cylinders honed, or sleeved, and most have access to the new kits that you will need, or you can do that yourself and just take the car to the shop and provide the kits. My 37s were both done locally by a terrific brake mechanic who had the right stuff to pull wheels, rebuild cylinders, and replace with new modern brake fluid (incompatible with old fluids). I did all of the lines myself, both hard and flex so all they had to do was the cylinders ( and shoes, which were quite a bit more expensive than I guessed since they had to be sent to a specialty shoe shop in Salt Lake City). Good luck- shouldn't be a biggee.

3. I have a bed for 1937 (different than 38 and 39. Usual dents and so forth. Some rust through of bed floor.

Pics available. Getting ready to list on eBay. I bought about 4 years ago and paid $1000. Had to pick up myself

and would require the same of new buyer. Did have it blasted. Not too bad but as with all needs

work. If I used it I would put in a new floor, etc. (Rich Jandrey as above). Would sell for what I

have in it- $1100. Would cover with epoxy primer for another $100- otherwise bare metal.

Location is Western Colorado. Send email for more info. PS: No front lower pieces that attach. Maybe a

deal breaker but it didn't come with any. I do have one of two I got separately with a 1" hole in it???

Have tailgate but consider it worthless. Would throw in if wanted.

4. Now I can't wait for my copy. Even though my interest is in the 1937 year, I always thoroughly enjoy the articles that RTQ writes. I wish I had that kind of knowledge, and retention. Thanks Richard for making us all a bit smarter by sharing your voluminous knowledge.

5. I am guessing the same as the colors for a Dictator. Many color charts are available- I see them all the

time on eBay. Harder to find the Coupe Express color charts, with additional colors. Somebody correct

me if I am wrong on this. I haven't gone out to the shop to confirm it.

Also, Wiedena, you might want to start a different thread for this since the original thread was not for 1937.

Just sayin'.

6. Don, glad you are at least making some headway on the CE. I have a few of these decals, that I took in trade some years ago. I have no idea who made them. $5 if you would like one. I also have no idea if these are right for 1937! But they are the only Burgess that I have ever seen.
Yippee! Hold two for me- I have 2 of them to restore so I appreciate it if you can spare them after Frank grabs one. ;)
7. You can get nice replacement screws for the doors, identical to original, at Ace Hardware. Cheap. I don't know if you have that

particular hardware store in your area but it is a chain that we have here in Colorado and it is also in Michigan. I am making the assumption that your hinge screws are the same as mine. Big leap there.
