No Chris these are “well used”. If you just need the under bases, I think they all have a good Foundation. I will send so e pics.

Yes I sent nice pictures (3) clearly showing lower damage, plus a description of it and the fact that it was priced way down because of that damage, Still, truth be told, it really did hurt.

I had a spare 37 grill with damage. Gent on ASC was looking. I sent him 3 close up pictures clearly showing lower damage and my price.
He bought, I sent. Got a nasty phone call- “ it is dog s***! “ Hoo boy. Described damage with good pics and this is what I get for stepping up to try to help!

Got 8 or 10. Originals.
What are they worth to you, each?
-
Yes Doc- need parts is a bit vague

I have these for sale. Pick up in Western Colorado. Box rough but restorable or Jandrey repops. Fenders better than most but still need work.
Cheap to get them out of here.

Thanks George!
How the heck are you?

Need outside door handle for 1937 Dictator or Coupe Express. Just got some chrome back from chrome shop and they removed the handle from the bezel to chrome the bezel and lost the internal retaining piece and spring.

See repost from me asking still available?

Am finally getting around to the radio for my 37. I just don't know how to electrify it. It only has one wire coming out of the radio head but the Philco bulletin seems to show two wires- one going to the gas gauge and one to the igniton switch. The directions only mention the wire going to the 'radio gas gauge terminal' of the ignition swotch. . Any help out there for the electrically challenged? ; If only one wire how s it grounded?
While we are at it the directions for the under car antenna are not clear. Any help there as well?
Thanks all!

If this doesn't work out I think I have one. Let me know if you need me to look.

At onepoint I had 6 instrument clusters- one each in coupe, sedan and CE, plus 3 spares. Two are nice- rest not so.
All 6 are 100 mph, including original from CE. I also notice the new decals stay in multiples of 10, while the originals show
0-10-20-40-60-80-90-100. Hmmm

Gary,
if you need one old one for getting all the holes, etc. just right let me know and I will get you one.
What a great idea. I had wondered if this could be done and now I know it can. 37 owners can
take great delight in this assuming it works out.

I have not heard of anyone doing that. I have a couple of old ones I bought when in acquisition mode a few years back, but would probably need to sell the whole unit or the rest would be worthless. Interested? PS not in great shape but I could send pics and prices.

6:50 looks better than 6:00. Spend the extra and you won't be sorry.

Sounds like I need to find lower octane non ethanol gas. Will look around. Any Colorado/Utah people out there who know some is available. Most gas here is 85/87/91.
-
I hope I am not screwing up my engines, but I use non-ethanol premium available at select gas stations here in Western Colorado. Costs a pretty penny but I hate the ethanol enough to go with it. Anyone out there think this is dumb- the 91 octane I mean. PS: also use MMO.

George,
I installed one of the Chevy tanks on my CE. I did not like the rubber extension for the filler as it failed within a year. I will get some pics of what I did do for you. In addition, I had to modify the frame, ever so slightly so the sending unit would fit there. Maybe there was a way to get the tank in without doing that, but it worked out doing that. Lastly, I had the advantage of doing the tank while the body was off so it worked out pretty easy for me- maybe not so easy for you having to do it all from underneath.
My tank was shot. Have you checked into professional restoration of the original tank?

If you get any posts from a person offering to rebuild one for you, I know a 37 CE owner who sent a 37 junction block to this person over a year ago and has heard nothing since. Buyer beware.
