  1. I could have one. Can you send me any pic to id3ntify it? If I do, I will photo back with dated picture and pre shipping price. I think I have the attachment brackets as well. Also rear bumper.m
  2. Posted elsewhere but I have original screen with 6 attachments. I think the attachment pieces could easily be duplicated. Can post photo if you w@nt.
  3. Counter clockwise to remove. About 1/2- 3/4 inch is all. If you break it, no big loss. KEEP any parts that come out until upyou are ready to reinstall.
  4. On my 1937s, the rubber was solid! Unhook the battery, and you then have to force it, pressing in, hard, while turning. The “rubber” may disintegrate. Get new rubber. On one, I sprayed silicone in it around horn button. That may NOT be recommended but it worked for me. Good luck.
  5. Agree with Studeboy. . Hard to do but don’t give up. Press in hard and rotate.
  6. Let me look at parts car. Not here but 10 miles away. Will try to get out there this week.
  7. Loga Enterprises ( Ernie Loga ) Did all my 37 interior . Pretty slow but done right. Local shop that installed the finished work was impressed.
  8. I think I have a headlight switch around. I have to find it. Paid $35 for it. Would ask for same. Still looking?
  9. He said no problem with removal on either side. Bonus? The brake shoe retaining spring on left wheel was fractured in wound part and useless. It was NOS 6-8 years ago. Hmmm
  10. My front end guy did the work yesterday. He drove it up from the bottom but said he thought top down would have worked as well.
  11. I am replacing the king pins on my 37 Coupe on Thursday. When removing the old kingpins do you drive them up from the bottom or down from the top?? I’ve seen different models of cars going different directions so does anyone know the correct direction for the 37 Studebaker 6A Frame not 5A.
  12. The ‘points’ close when the horn button is grounded, sounding the horn(s). Cjpheck inside horn. Let us know.
  13. PS i think you need a horn relay. Check on that.
  14. I think I found a horn repair on YouTube. My 37s have the dual horns and there are points there that I filed and cleaned. They all work great. Message me on this site if you need more info. Drdon.
  15. Are there any traps I need to be aware of when removing spindle and king pins on 1937 6A Dictator to get to machinist. I acquired a king pin rebuild set but realize the bushings have to be fitted to the pins and guess they must come off of the car. Also I hear through grapevine that bushing removal can be tough on an 85 year old front end. Help please?
  16. Chris pm me drdon1111@aol etc or nineseven0 261 702three
  17. That is the problem. This is a 6A frame under a Coupe Express body ( my choice). It wanders going straight. I have had steering gear totally rebuilt, all connections checked and rechecked, 3 alignment shops, and still wanders, you have to be attentive. My 37 coupe drives like a modern car- freeway speeds when necessary and fun. The CE not so much. Last shop does many old vehicles and has a reputation for doing good work and good diagnosis. He said the king pins were worn a little bit. I don’t know where to turn.
  18. I had my front end guy tell me I have some king pin wear. So do I order a replacement kit or do I also need to replace the bushings?. How do you find out what is needed prior to disassembly or can you even? Is it even necessary when he describes wear as minimal?
  19. For gauges, I had superb job done at Bobs Speedometer in Michigan. Not cheap but perfect.
  20. Gary Ash I think. Really good repop. Got one for future.
  21. Easy to find at an tractor supply stores and fairly cheap. Agree with 0 or 00 cable.
  22. Hmmm my water pump has a grease fitting AND a grease cup you can turn by hand to add lubricant. Thanks for clearing up 6 vs 8 on this. It did really bother me when I read it.
  23. Gary, Does the 1937 Dictator engine have the same problem? I recently had mine rebuilt and this worries me.
  24. On a 1937 Dictator 6A, Can you mix conventional tie Rod ends with spring loaded? My steering guy said I have a left spring loaded and right conventional. If I should change to match which is recommended? Thanks. Also he said “king pins are loose but not dangerous”. This will only be driven to local parades and car shows. Would you do a change?
  25. I would like to repaint a recently acquired 1937 winterfront. Is there anyone out there who could duplicate the decal?
