  1. And we hope you'll be still talking to us once you have a "new" car.
  2. GaWajn, try then for the decals, GM likely used all the same.https://www.fillingstation.com/
  3. Thank you my friend. Indeed there is some satisfaction there. I really enjoy driving it even if it isn't fully sorted out yet. If I could only find out more about its early history.
  4. I haven't gotten around to the odd jobs required on the old Chevy. I just drive it on the occasional nice day we get. Shitty, shitty summer. I'm up to over 300 miles. I'll get to the to do list this winter. Meanwhile, took the Mustang to a show about 100 miles away yesterday. The first nine cars in this row were part of our contingent along with the other six in the photos . The Hemi Road Runner and the 440 6-pak GTX (hoods up) were setting the pace. So needless to say it was brisk. It was a community decarbonizing event.
  5. Can't post something without a little something for Keizer. While this Plymouth isn't particularly Canadian, it sure is gorgeous.
  6. Here's a few more I saw yesterday. The 60 Meteor and the 57 Pontiac in the first post of this thread were there as well. The 65 Parisienne looked like a Bonneville while its Custom Sport sister looked like a Grand Prix. The 58 Parisienne is very, very rare. The 58 Dodge Mayfair is a better example of the "Plodges" as some people call the Plymouth based Canadian Dodges. The 59 Pontiac is a Strato-Chief which I believe is the base line, with the Pathfinder and then the Parisienne, or perhaps it is the opposite.
  7. Are you going to go and say hello to Roger Zimmermann?
  8. Here's a few photos of the armrests in case you decide to fabricate some.
  9. I think my 50's car if I ever get one may well be a post sedan or coupe. that is the only thing that could stand our streets. My poor Mustang convertible is slowly turning into a rattletrap here.
  10. I think I have some of the sockets. That is what you are talking about right? Thy would require plating. I don't remember having two sets of armrests but I'll look.
  11. You are welcome Benjamin. Are you going to post your work here? If I was to do another one I'd look at the '34 Olds for sale in Massachssetts.
  12. Chris you have class. My religious language would likely have been loud enough to hear in the next town.
  13. Chris, there was a Studebaker color very close to that, it was called Moonlight Silver. My '64 Hawk was that color. It sort of picked the surrounding shade like a chameleon.
  14. Bernie do you bend your tubing with a machine or on pegs welded to the bench?
  15. Boy, that must be a relief to the ears. Mine runs all the time.
  16. That should do it. It'll certainly run your airbrush.
  17. You may want to join the VCCA (Vintage Chevrolet Club of America) as well as here. There are a lot of people highly experienced in your particular model there. The Chevrolet section below in this list is a good place to check too. .You may find there are others close by, may be even in the Netherlands.
  18. Scott, if I was there I'd take that elm off your hands. I could make some nice things with it. that is likely the reason your neighbor asked them to leave the trunk. That stuff is worth $$$$ to a woodworker. Nice work on the van.
  19. Maybe these will help. It is for a '34 Chevrolet Master, the American version. Just mount a nice cloisonné Dodge emblem and it will "become" a Dodge rack
