  1. These are in Abilene, TX. If you want them, come and get them. A scrapper is going to start hauling off on Monday. Corvairs $300 per car, $325 per van. If you buy multiples a better deal could possibly be made. They're my dads, and he will be scrapping some other cars too including a '51 Plymouth and '62 Galaxie which are $500 obo More pics on Pictures by txcars4sale - Photobucket under 1960s Corvair cars and 1960s Corvair vans and Corvairs pictures by oldstuffforsaletx - Photobucket 86 EXP $400 84 Mustang GT t-top $600 76 Cobra $1000 pics of others on Pictures by txcars4sale - Photobucket will do trades too!
  2. Got a bunch of miscellaneous car stuff tonight including a blanket with Hupmobile and some other makes like Ford and Metz. I was just wondering if anyone here might be interested in it? Either way I will see about getting some pics of it up this week.
  3. As long as you can get a dark cherry wall set.
  4. I actually like the 2nd gen Javelins. A '71 AMX would be cool.
  5. Great story on this survivor. Clean it up, drive it, and preserve it. I'd like to know more about the '52 fins and if they showed up on any other '51s from the dealer.

  8. Nice car. For some reason it reminded me of the commercial for Cordoba.
  9. I'm young and most of my cars are older than me, but I hear people used to go read these things called books at these places called the library. I take it you still have the old six in it?
  10. What an awesome Caddy! I'm a fan of whitewalls, but when you're riding in luxury whitewalls are fitting and more doors are acceptable. I just went out cruising in my more door '62 convertible tonight. Need to detail the interior and start considering a paint job for it.
  11. So I figured it out on my own, it's the Monarch! Now I want a '50 Monarch coupe with the Lion hood ornament.
  12. I saw a cat as a part of the emblem on a '55(?) Montclair and wanted to know what else it appeared on before the Cougar?
  13. Pontiac was the only companion make to survive, and it almost went out in the 50s. Then came in Knudsen who turned it into a make with some dedication towards performance starting with the Bonneville. The Knudsen nose helped Pontiacs become recognizable until the end, and Pontiacs were probably some of the more easily recognizable cars from the 90s on. As fas as luxury options, after '73 just about anything had luxury options and Brougham. Had the Aztek not happened, and the GTO been closer to the 1999 concept, then Pontiac may still be around.
  14. 49/50 88 Club Sedan, Holiday, or Pace Car 54 F-88 57/58 coupe or Fiesta 61 Starfire 66/67 Toronado 70 442 convertible Pretty much any H/O could be cool, but 72 is probably favorite
  15. I'd go with the Cadillac. Looks to already have some of the work done and it's a fastback. I'm a Buick Century fan, but the extra doors and humpback would have me leaning towards the Cadillac.
  16. I'm only in my 20s, so of course. I've even got car shirts older than me.
  17. I don't care for the Gazelles or Excaliburs, but I'd take an Auburn or Cord replica for sure. this one is kind of interesting Replica/Kit Makes : Coupe Elegant in Replica/Kit Makes | eBay Motors
  18. Cool, what kind of firetruck? Someone in town is selling a '42 GMC right now, but it's a big project. Well I know a lot of Corvairs are going this weekend. Not sure what my dad had planned for next week, but I may take some of my 80s cars. The Vega and EXP should be going off to new homes in a few weeks too. Still will be plenty of old iron left, but not sure for how long.
  19. There's some on Pictures by txcars4sale - Photobucket besides ones on there, there's also a '49 American Lafrance firetruck, bunch of late 40s/early 50s trucks, bunch of 49/54 Chevy coupes and sedans, a couple 47 Chevys, 41 Chevy business coupe, '50 Ford extended cab, etc.
  20. So the property a lot of my family's vehicles are on is being sold soon, space elsewhere is limited, so besides finding them new homes, many of the vehicles are going to the scrapper. This Saturday my dad is taking his Corvairs For others see Pictures by txcars4sale - Photobucket Some will be saved and moved, but unfortunately many will not. I will update this with which ones are set to be scrapped, but if you see something on the photobucket you're interested in before hand let me know. $500 should buy any of the Corvair cars you want.
  21. If the guys want to make the trip out to Abilene, my family has dozen of cars to sell. Many will go for scrap prices as that is what they will go for when taken to scrap yard. Property won't be available for cars much longer, and there isn't room for all of them. Corvair cars will be gone this weekend.
  22. Plenty of those Mercs around. The Olds were raced to death and/or scavenged for the 303.
  23. pics up of all 3 on 1960s Corvair vans pictures by txcars4sale - Photobucket if anyone else is interested let me know asap as my dad is going to start scrapping the Corvair cars Saturday, and these will be next
