MikeC5
Some stripped threads? You might try making a new copper connecting pipe (with new nuts).
Spinneyhill
Nut has been cross-threaded. You could resurrect that thread to some degree with the right tools (NOT a die nut in the first instance coz very difficult to get it perpendicular to the fitting axis). The fitting probably screws out of the pump housing? Is that green tape or paint on the other nipple? This is the sort of tool I would start with, very gently and carefully! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Thread-file-for-SAE-thread-Inch-tool-Inch-Tool-/201407520549?hash=item2ee4d2df25:g:hiYAAMXQ3kNTgwB5&vxp=mtr Start on the good thread and work your way round outwards onto the bad thread. It might straighten it enough to get the nut on straight so it seals. You need one matching the number of threads per inch on your fitting, so you will need one of these first, so you get the right thread file. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sealey-30pc-UNC-UNF-Screw-Pitch-Thread-Gauge-American-National-Thread-4-62-TPI-/221612034969?hash=item33991b4b99:g:EPMAAOSw4GVYIwCm P.S. When you put those sorts of pipe fittings on (e.g. fuel lines, oil lines, brake lines) do them up finger tight first. If they won't go by finger, find out why. Don't just reach for the spanner, which is what has wrecked that one - it wouldn't go coz it was cross threaded and the spanner just proved it. It is green paint you can't see very well but the threds on the other side are pitted and oil leaked out the other side. So I located a "new" oil pump housing. cahartley
Too bad you aren't closer....... That would have been a pretty easy fix. The main thing is you'll soon be good to go again.......

Mpgp1999
After repairing the valve seats and timing the engine it now runs great the radiator leaks on to the engine but that is fine. The transmission is rapidly failing. 2nd gear is almost gone. It pops out of gear and makes bad noises and popping noises there is tons of brass in the gear oil 2nd has almost no power
