Reatta windshield

Before anyone jumps my bones about this being in the wrong section, I have a decent windshield that is not for sale.  It is however free to anyone who really needs a windshield and can pick it up in South Carolina.  I had it removed from a pars car by a glass company because I did not want to damage it.  They however scratched it low on the passenger side with their tool and damaged the molding.  I believe the molding could be glued carefully and would be ok and the scratches, while noticeable, would surely be ok for a daily driver.  Bottom line is that it is too good to throw away and not good enough to sell although I paid $125 to have it pulled.

If anyone is interested, I would love to get it out of my garage.

the windscreen i had replaced in my 91 coupe in florida was a $1 3 0 0 ( fla insurance is required to replace for no charge )plus bill to the insurance company. the retail was $1 7 0 0.

i think i would find a safe place for it if no one takes it for FREE

Ed,

I'd love to take it off your hands but the distance is prohibitive. At this point in time, at least.

I have a brother-in-law who lives in Simpsonville who might be able to be talked into picking it up but it still not that much closer to me.

Not being able to give away a windshield for a Reatta suggests that there may be a rip in the fabric that constitutes the Space-Time continuum. Something must have gone wrong when they fired up the Large Hadron Collider ... horribly wrong.

John it's not just that. There are problems everywhere. We have the Spallation Neutron Source about 18 miles from here at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. I think that is what is causing my taillight to get cloudy again after I spend an hour polishing it. I've tried to talk to them about it and they don't seem to care. One of their scientist mumbled something about him thinking it was caused by global warming and I should contact Al Gore.... :o

Probably why the image on the CRT in my good 88 skewed funny earlier today. Large magnetic anomalies play hell with CRT monitors. This is some heavy stuff.

Take that spare windshield and coat it's inside surface with atomized aluminum. That'll protect your Reatta from ionized magnetic radiation quite nicely. Might make for a bothersome glare off the dash pad though. It will also keep your flux capacitor....fluxing.

Seriously however, it seems a terrible waste to pitch it. Being short, wide and relatively flat, it shouldn't be too troublesome to store safely out of the way.

And global warming is the result of algores rotund ass jet-setting all over the planet on private jets to symposia where he can work on filling out his fourth chin with high end catered meals that cost more per plate than a pewter Reatta. In fact that round room in the capitol is named after algores sowbelly, or so I understand. They recently laid common sense in state there so those few concerned could pay their respects. Or something like that.

Have been told that mine is "obscure". Being a Floridian, a damaged windscreen is free since all of my cars have "comprehensive". I still keep a spare in the attic.

Florida has the right idea, we put Tallahassee as far from anything useful as possible but close to Chattahoochee.

ps anyone else have edits just dissappear ?
