Rear Quarter windows 4 door sedan

Recommended Posts

Could someone please advise if the rear quarter windows in a 4 door sedan wind up and down. I know all will ask what model? Well Im still trying to work it out as well. I have been told its a 1930 series 66, but I have recently spoken to someone who knew the car owner before I purchased it and it could be a 1929 series 75.

It has a small rear quarter window as per picture below, as per many other threads I have no interior at all, but have all four door window cranks and glass. Any help or pictures of internal set up would be greatly appreciated

While Im going can anyone tell me if this is the dash board for my car, sorry for a 1929 series 75 or 1930 series 66?????, picture below

Many thanks

On a 1926 Model 60 the 1/4 windows cranked down but not all the way.

To determine the wheelbase there should be bumper stops ( or indications of)  in the center of the arches of the frame ( fore & aft).

This measurement  will give you the wheelbase: In 1929 Model 65 was 112 3/4", Model 75 was 121",  1930 Model 66 was 112 3/4" Model CJ6 was 109", Model 70 was 116 1/2". If you come up with other numbers let me know , there are more.

I agree with the dash cluster identification. If there is a plate on the dashboard, it will have your serial number. It is called a FEDCO system of numbering and is a series of letters and numbers. We can tell you what you have from the plate number. It will look something like one of these....

I don't see how they can wind down very far without hitting the framing for the wheel well. Probably they are fixed. One of us should go and look. You are closer than I am.

Rusty, that was my thinking and there is hardly enough room for a window crank let alone being able to wind down.

Cheers 28 Chrysler but unfortunately I have a 1925 chassis, I have recently acquired a 1929 tourer chassis but has no bump stops or anything on it.

Keiser 31 & 28 Chrsyler,

Thanks for that id on the dash, it is not mine it is for sale in OZ but after being informed that the body I have is not a 66 it could be a 70 or 75 I have been perusing pictures of 75, & 70 and this appears to be the dash for one.

Cheers for info

The rear windows will wind down about half way.

The instrument cluster shown is for a Chrysler 75.

The body however is not Charlie's 75 body, but appears to be a 1930 Chrysler 70.

Cheers Loz if the windows do wind down then it likes I will be chasing more parts,  I will keep searching for info to confirm, Will chat when you come have a look

can anyone show me pictures of what the rear quarter window regulator looks like for what appears to be a Chrysler 70 body, from what I can gather it just has a little T handle and the window only moves about half way. If anyone has any for sale even better.
