  3. I was wondering if anyone can help me to identify a parts car I bought all I have to go off is the engine number. C 19883. Cheers Mcgoo

  5. Hey Col I had some made up for mine by local metal shop. Surely you have a place around there somewhere. Mine was done by roofing place. Mcgoo
  6. I was wondering if anyone can tell me if these radiators are from different vehicles and which is correct for a 1930 66 series. Note the difference in the height from bottom of surround to crank hole. Overall radiator height is the same approx 33 1/2". First pic, green one, was with a 66 series parts car purchased some years ago. Hole centre approx 3" from bottom Second pic is one attached to parts car i recently got with 2 different bodies. Note crank hole is approx 5" from bottom. Any constructive comments appreciated.
  7. Hello boys did you see the 27 chrysler e8 motor and box for sale on ebay. Only noticed it today $500 good price Mcgoo
  8. Nice work Ben where did you find all that. Mcgoo
  9. Ill have a look but think they are just a single piece.
  10. Cheers guys if you know anyone who wants to buy a set. Mcgoo
  11. Cheers peoples i think im going to call it a 66. Now all i need to do is restore it. Mcgoo
  12. Here is a pic of the brackets at bottom of radiator. May have to zoom in to see yhem
  13. The yellow/ cream car looks like mine. There are no id plates anywhere. To throw another hat in the ring there are two bonnets with the vehicle 1 longer than the other. Will check wheel base that may help ID the car with engine but will probably have to presume the body i have restored and the spare body are 66 series bodies with different rear windows. Was hoping some of our US friends may be able to offer some insight as to different configurations of bodies in the states. Another thing did all Australian built cars have "made in usa" written at bottom of radiator shroud. Also at bottom of radiator there is 2 brackets that come off the main crossmember project forward about 3 inches and the radiator bolts to them not crossmember. Look forward to more responses. Mcgoo
  14. Thanks for that i thought wascftom studebaker
  15. The engine that is still in car starts with a C 19883 and in another thread we worked out it was a 66. That matches with the body on the car which is the one with the wide raised strip on side. There is no fedco plate attached to the dash board of that car. There was another dash board with fedco plate that is H152YL( at present guessing the 1) photos in another thread. Now that comes up to a 66 ss well. I suppose the question im asking is what are the bodies with the thin raised strip on side as now i have 2 of them with no ID tags. Mystery continues
  16. Ok the guards on both bodies are straight at front. I suppose now its the big question what model or should i say is it a town car or just a sedan or what. Why the difference in rear window size.
  17. Well it is my can of worms. I am hoping that for the past few years i havent been chasing 66 parts when i actually have a 70 series. Both my bodies have the handles in the raised strip. Ill check the guards
  18. Cheers Ben all snippets of info help.
  19. Thanks Sasha the body with the thinner strip is the same as my other body which everyone has told me is a 66 series. The cowl attached to chassis has no holes in it. This is a picture of my other body that i have completed. So what body do i have? Everyone has told me its a 66 series so hence buying 66 parts cars. If im interpreting what your saying i have a 70 or 77. I have my mates 77 in the container so will have to go and compare cars. Mcgoo
  20. Im throwing this out there in case anyone can help me identify models of 1930 bodies i have just bought in Australia. As usual there are no id plates anywhere so not sure if holdens built body or american built cars. The one fitted to the chassis has a large rear quarter window approximately 19 .5 inches long and has a very wide raised strip down side 2.5 inches. The other body has a smaller quarter window approximately 13.5 inches long snd has a thinner raised strip down side 1.75 inches. 1st 2 picks are of smaller window with thinner strip. 2nd 2 are larger window with wider strip Any help appreciated. Mcgoo
