A flyer detailing the Great Lakes Regional Meet as well as the Registration Form will be ready tomorrow (2/24). My wife is finishing them up, they will then be forwarded to Roberta for addition to the announcement included in the Calendar of Events.

Hope to see you all there this summer, August 9-12, 2007. A great meet is being planned.

Hey, Stevo, will you be sending out confirmation letters for registration? as it will help us coming across the border through Canada, especially if folks are vending, and trailering a car, I had an issue with the border going to Batavia in 2005, and the registration conformation paper cleared me in and out of Canada..Eventually into Canada, and made it no problem at the MI border on the way home, Thanks!

All depends on finances , but I would love to make it. Even more I would love to bring both Buicks. Im working to get my wifes 67 Skylark road trip ready. It runs great but I have no idea how old belts hoses etc are. But if all works out I want to have at least 1 , maybe 2 cars there.

Bringing this back up to call attention to the Great Lakes Regional which will be held Aug 9-12 at Holiday Inn, Grand Island, NY (Buffalo).

See BCA Site and Bugle for further details, read this thread from the beginning.

We finally got our registration in the mail last week. I am so looking forward to this meet. Unfortunately we did not apply yet for a passport, so I'm unsure of the regulations for going into Niagra Falls Canada. But we are stiull looking foreward to the event.

Anyone up for a side trip to the Seneca Nation Casino on the NY side one night? Maybe the buffet dinner and a few drops in the slots later?

At this time, a passport is not required for entry back into the US. A driver's license should suffice but any one going into Canada should bring their birth cert if they do not have a passport ...."just in case". Most border guards are reasonable and are the best we have but do not give them reason to go into your private stuff. Be polite and answer all questions and answer them truthfully and you will not have a problem.

This is exactly what you need to do. For those traveling through Canada, like from Michigan, it ia also a good thing to have your registration confirmation for the event, as that will make it much easier to prove where you are going, especially if you have a trailer and a pile of junk to sell, and a car in the trailer. It will also help you coming back into Michigan, I know, I lived it going and coming back from Batavia.

Stevo, my brother is working on a car that has not seen the road in almost 10 years, and it's a very interesting car, hopefully I can get the stuff he needs to him in time to make it there, or he'll be thrashing on Thursday and Friday to get it there on Saturday, if I have to take the parts with me on Thursday morning. See ya soon!

As of right now ... its gonna be a day trip. No Buick, a green 93 Chevy pickup instead ( the workhorse of the 2004 GL regional). As much as I would love to bring the 77 Im on a mission. Wildcat and Skylark parts. Im looking for a decklid, interior peices and maybe even a new seat for the Cat. The Skylark parts list is unknown to me at this time.... its her car and the parts needs are on a need to know basis.... and guess who dont need to know blush.gif . The only thing I was told concerning the Skylark was not to hog up the truck by filling it with Wildcat parts. Im not making any promises. After checking out the vendors and the cars Im driving back to Canadohta lake in PA , my family has a place up there. Then Sunday I will drive the rest of the way home.

Back to the top since it is only a couple of days away. Anybody in driving distance that has not registered, we will see you next Saturday, August 11th at the Holiday Inn on Grand Island, New York (midway between Buffalo and Niagara Falls).
