fisherhifi
The pictures are of a car in a Las Vegas storage bay. The owner lives in New York and says it's a 1936 Nash. I've looked at all the pictures I can find of Nash and I don't think it is a Nash. In fact I think it's a plymouth. Note some of the details: The window posts are vertical. On all Nashes I've seen they are at an angle. Note the odd trunk and spare tire arrangement on the rear. Doesn't look Nash. The shot inside the car is of the side of the hood. Could be Nash but also could be a lot of others too. The body style is roughly 1936. I would say no earlier than 1934 and no later than 1937. There is one tag on the car that says the body was made by Budd in Philadelphia. I've been unable to locate a list of the cars they did in the 30's.Please help.http://members.cox.net/fisherhifi/maybenash2.jpghttp://members.cox.net/fisherhifi/maybenash4.jpgSend me email for more pictures.Mike Downing850 S. hwellens
If it is a Chrysler product, the name plate will be on the left front door pillar.
nearchoclatetown
Look at the hinge piller for the rear doors and compare to the Nash. The Nash is slanted forward. I'm sure it's a '35 DB.
RickBrinker
I've never seen a trunk like that on a Dodge Bros.
fisherhifi
can't find a trunk like that anywhere. Graham Paige is another good guess. Still no smoking gun though. Does anybody have a list of the car bodies produced at Budd in Philadephia from '34 - '37?
DodgeSavesUMoney
I don't think it's a 1935 or 1936. The raised area around the side windows (above the belt line) is something that I have not seen on a '35 or '36. Usually, the area directly around the windows is smooth. The '35 did have sort of a crease line above the belt line that ran along the side of the car and made the top and side windows look like a "cap", but it didn't look like the photos. As for it being a Plymouth, at least in '35 and '36 the side window detail was similar to the Dodge, meaning smooth however in '36, the rear window on the sedan had kind of a curved crease around the back. Bob Kinker
packard had a trunk like the one shown. Check the years 36 - 38. The body lines even look similar.
