pretty cool looking Catalina.  I would love to see this car spread it's wing and run on the open road because I have heard many stories about my parents, aunts and uncles driving across country in cars of this era would effortlessly cruise comfortably at hi speeds. That's what comes to my mind when I see these long and sleek cars of the early 60's!  GLWTS

Seat upholstery looks off. Can a Poncho expert comment?

I agree, I thought these cars had an offset stripe pattern similar to what is on the door panels, but 'hey, what do I know?'  Maybe its a different interior level/package.

Whats with the car was bought at mecum and still sporting the mecum key tag, is that supposed to be a badge of honor?

A friend of mine has one that he restored with the Ventura interior.  It's definitely more upscale looking than the base Catalina upholstery.  I agree, the skirts need to go...

The Catalina was the base level series. The plain interior appears to be correct.

The Ventura was a one level upgrade offered only in the "bubble top" hardtop coupe and the "vista" 4-door hardtop. The Ventura series featured the bolder interior as pictured below:
