StillOutThere
The video of the Dodge Ram Cummins diesel does not tell us much about the Chebby 6 said to be in the Hudson's engine bay. Hudson engineers just rolled over in their graves to look the other way. 2

JamesR
Well, at least it's not a SBC, but I agree an original flathead 6 would've been preferable. Though they look less "step down" than the prior years, I've gradually come to regard the '54 as my favorite Hudson Hornet in terms of looks.
58L-Y8
Careful how you answer when your '54 Hudson ask: "Does this restyle make my butt look big?" Edited July 9 by 58L-Y8 (see edit history)

I thought the derogatory term "Hash" applied only to the Kenosha-built 1955-'57 Hudsons. Xander Wildeisen
I had a 54 club coupe, nice car. 52 is my favorite stepdown.
Leif in Calif
No really a fan of this muddled example, but I do love the "Hudson Hornet Hollywood Hardtop" name!
JamesR
I almost wonder if Chevy was inspired by the '54's tail lights for their '55 models. Yes, Chevy did the tail lights better on the '55 than the Hudson, but the '54 is still my favorite Hornet. My favorite looking STEP DOWNS however are the '48-50 models.
