Hello nice to meet you all I have a 1958 Buick riviera model 59 estate wagon ,does anyone now where the chassis vin number is stamped? Thankyou 🙏🏻

VIN's as we know them today did not start until 1980

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicle_identification_number

You will have an engine number and frame number

Thank you 1939 Buick

mine is model 49 not 59 sorry I made a mistake

so the riviera estate wagon does not have chasisis stamped number

Frame number and chassis number are the same. Different jargon

From the link above

Quote

1957 - 1965 - Stamped on a plate attached to the left front door pillar. The number is also stamped on the engine block, just ahead of the left push rod cover. (1957 was the first year that vehicle serial and engine numbers were identical.)

I can say with certainty where they are stamped on 55 and 57 Buicks and on 55 Olds. The number agrees with the serial number on the driver side door jamb and is stamped on the top side of the frame, aft of the driver side rear kick up. Can't be seen without removing the body or cutting the floor...........Bob

On most 1950's Chrysler Corp. cars it can be found stamped on the top or the (out)side of the right rear frame rail, either in front or behind the rear axle kick-up arch and if on top, one might be able to see it with a mirror placed between the frame and bottom side of the floorpan (or an endoscope with side view capabilities).

Do Buick's have enough space to try a mirror ?

Still in that location on my '64 Buick Riviera. I never got a picture of it back in those chemical film picture taking days though.

I saw it!

The car was assembled in the US for export. Never think or say anything different if you are trying to license or title it in the US again. "Manufactured in US, exported, and returned. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

No, not really. Maybe 1/2 to 3/4 inch between floor and frame rail. Also number will be caked with dirt and rust..........Bob

Don't worry about all of the above information.  If you want to know everything about 1958 Buick station wagons, talk to Joe Tonietto. He won the AACA Zenith award with his '58 wagon.  One of the many articles on his car.  He knows everything on '58 Buick wagons.  He is on the forum as 95Cardinal.   https://forums.aaca.org/profile/90916-95cardinal/
