1947 Cadillac Series 62 car for sale. Engine is a v-8 - 5.7L with an automatic transmission. Car runs but needs some carburetor work. Also included is a new in box mechanical fuel pump, plus a complete wiring harness. This car will make for a nice restoration project. email: 865b8c9d157331aebbd42756381391f1@sale.craigslist.org

Doesn’t the price seem a little low? Especially with a new fuel pump and wiring harness coming with it? He says it runs but that seems to be a non-running car price.

I think he wants to sell it. Maybe you should buy and finish the project, somebody will.

What's up with the rear suspension?  Price does not seem too low to me.  I think there are a lot of things wrong with this car that are not disclosed or discussed in the ad.  Where is the stainless trim, for example?  Also, some lower body rot appears evident on both sides, as well as odd space between bottom of trunk lid and bumper.  Caveat emptor.

Leif: You're correct, rarely are older engines referred to as in liters, seller might be trying to modernize his listing, maybe hoping a customizer thinks it has a modern engine. It's a 346 cubic inch engine which is 5.67 liters, so it rounds up to 5.7. Also it's a flat head so there are fewer shops and mechanics that know how to work on these engines.
