Asking price is a bit optimistic.

"Restored with updates" needs some clarification.

Is that shifter from the "automatic" transmission or was that the typical shift lever from 1939?

Yep I agree with the price optimism!  There's something going on with the grille.  The steering wheel most likely needs to be recast.  The engine compartment is filled with a birds nest of wires. The spark plug cover is missing and both bumpers quite possibly need to be re-chromed.  The original gauges probably don't work because there aftermarket units installed below the radio. And because there is a modern AM/FM/CD player under the dash I would say the electrical system has been changed  to 12 volts.

DIY wiring under the hood looks very scary!  I agree with others about price.  Even assuming the bones are in decent shape, it would still take a lot of work to get this car back to correct configuration.  The best looking thing in the photos is the dash.
