deac
2 take aways: first this car is advertised for sale but in the pictures there's a sign on the dash that says "Not for sale". Second in the write up it says the car has been been sitting for 15 years, has a leak from the transmission and then it says it "needs some minor maintenance". Really? A car sitting for that long going to need a lot more than "minor maintenance"! But overall I do like it but the asking price is a bit high. Fossil
This is something that doesn't show up very often. Are they really worth the asking price in this condition.
Twisted Shifter
I think I prefer the '51 Mercury Monterey over the Lincoln Lido. Edited April 25 by Twisted Shifter (see edit history)
Jim Skelly
Is that moth damage on the "very nice original interior"?
DrumBob
I say this all the time; those sunken eyeball headlights are just weird.

Don’t know if you know, but these were supposed to be hideaway headlights but Ford ran out of money and time.

I'm aware of that. They should have probably reverted back to standard headlights, but then, the Mercury would have looked just like the Ford.
