And welcome to the AACA and the forum.  There is a lot

of expertise here, even some AACA past presidents, and

at least one nationally known automotive author, who

post regularly.  The "General Discussion" category gets

a great amount of use;  other popular categories are

"Technical" and "What is it," and so on.

 

I don't have a Thunderbird, but I offer a friendly welcome.

I can't help with the Richmond VTCI group, but I have always found the Richmond Region AACA to be very friendly and welcoming (way more than my local region here in Danville). Depending where you are in RVA area the Historic Fredericksburg Region might be another option.
