Leif in Calif
This car looks very familiar but searching in this forum didn't show it. More pics and info in the ad (but NOTHING about this particular car!) I was doing OK until I got to the interior! Why why why! https://tucson.craigslist.org/cto/d/hereford-1940-lasalle-52-special/7720047627.html
Crusty Trucker
Another hot rod waiting for a 350 and disc brakes.
jdome
Dash has been welded up to replace the horizontal gage cluster with modern round gages. Holes through body for bumper bars have been welded up. The car has had too much damage to bring back stock.

Rivguy
I would have left the original bumpers on. I'd want to protect that grille.
kingrudy
I believe that the seller has put a fair amount of cash into this car, but at this point the car is neither fish nor fowl. The interior and dash look like it is a hot rod, but the steering and the drive train are still rooted in 1940. I agree that the removal of the bumpers and welding that up was a mistake. Sad to say, but if seller had chosen a path and gone full bore, the car might be worth 26K. I can't imagine sitting in the drivers seat of this car and feeling as though you are in the fast lane of 2024 and then putting your foot to the floor unleashing all the power of that 100-horsepower flathead V8 from 1940. Rude awakening. GLWTS Edited March 5 by kingrudy (see edit history)
