Shamrock 70
I’m restoring a 27 Chrysler 4 cylinder. The distributor housing must have gotten some moisture in it and froze or the pot metal just disintegrated. Whatever the case, my housing is in pieces. Would anyone know where to get another or will I have to build one? Any tips or suggestions would be awesome. This is my first restoration project. Cheers. dodge28
Shamrock70,keep the pieces\ There are restorers who do sand casting with aluminum . The broken sample is needed for pattern. I am taking it to Butters in Cobourg on Monday and I will let you know later. Harry
Fordy
Glue it back together and have it 3d scanned. Whoever does this for you would be able to digitally "repair" any portions that are missing. Once that's done get it printed direct to metal - it is a far better option in my opinion (others will disagree) than sand casting as it removes several of the steps and requires less machining to deliver an end product. Model-50-1926
Shamrock 70, yes I have two but both cracked. It is a REMY with a part # 819493. They are in way better condition than yours. If you can fined someone to repair it or have it copied somehow you can have it for free. I will send some pics. thanks Mark

Shamrock 70
That is very kind of you Mark, thank you. I would pay any shipping or handling charges. Do you know if the piece is actually aluminum or is it pop metal? Thank you once again.

Shamrock 70
I would definitely take it, it would be easier to cast than the one I have. I just need to know how to ship it here

Model-50-1927
I have a mostly complete engine and transmission and some other spare parts. I think one of the items I have is a custom machine part such as pictured by Model – 50–1926 above. I may also have a distributor or two. I will get pictures tomorrow when I get back to the shop. by the way does anybody have a spare left door driver side?
DFeeney
If you Google 1929 Plymouth distributor drive housing you will find information on current reproductions.

dodge28
I went to Butters in Cobourg today with my distributor from my DB Senior. After looking at it for awhile, and whoo haa said it will cost more than if I buy it from Cindy Meyers. I left disappointed, I am going to Meyers.
