John_S_in_Penna
As I first started scrolling down the pictures, the car was looking nice and the $13,000 asking price seemed okay. Then I saw the dented bumper and the poor interior. Is it worth $5000 or less in its current state? Someone needs to fix it up and preserve it!
plymouthcranbrook
I agree with John. The more I looked at it the worse it got. 3

I thought the same thing as I started to scroll down and view all of the aspects of this car. Nice color, really like the dash and if you could repair the upholstery, that would look real cool (don't think that you could find that material). That said, the rear bumper would have to be taken care of and I am not sure what is going on with the passenger's side door panel, but that would have to be taken care of. I think up 5k is a little low, but it isn't my car, so I would hope that the seller is flexible on that price. GLWTS
6T-FinSeeker
Just noticed that the original asking price was $17,500 when first listed 7 weeks ago on 12/6/23. $13,000 is the reduced "Don't lowball me, I know what I have" price!!! I'll have to watch this one. Edited January 24 by 6T-FinSeeker (see edit history)

rocketraider
I hate to tell the gentleman, but $10,500 is not going to happen on a Super 88 Holiday Sedan with the issues this one has. Doubtful on a Holiday Coupe. SMS would probably have the seat fabric. Door panel is 1961 Super 88 only. Rear bumper and valance panel are common to all 1961 full-size Olds but that doesn't mean they're any easier to find good ones. The bumper skegs are prone to rot. If someone offers him $4000 he'd better take the money and run. If he paid more than that himself, intending to quadruple his money in a flip, then he was foolish indeed. To its credit, a 1961 Oldsmobile of any stripe is as Space Age as an Oldsmobile gets.

7th Son
Maybe the seller should try asking the magic $18,000. price, a very popular price for a basic 4-door project lately. Edited March 19 by 7th Son (see edit history)
