Book your Hershey room yet?

Recommended Posts

Yep. It’s snowing and downright cold outside. While you’re comfy in front of the fireplace- you should be thinking ahead and booking your Hershey room.

The major hotels use some weird logic to set, and change their rates months ahead.

I book on expedia with the right to cancel right up to the event; and you don’t have to pay until you arrive. So acting early costs you nothing.

We like the area along the north side of Harrisburg near Union Deposit Road. Driving north, Union Deposit Road will lead you right to the swap meet exit at the new AACA HQ.

As an example, we like the Country Suites by Raddison. It was $85/ night (plus taxes). Today it’s $92. By September it might be twice that. If you want to spend more, check out the Best Western Premier. It was my favorite, before someone at Corporate jacked the rates.

So for the last few business days I been calling the Hershey lodge, and get put on hold . I am going to try again to book this week . I am trying to get a room I go in the past

The Hershey Lodge phone booking has been the worst experience I have had when booking any hotel.  I have no idea what their problem is but the phone never gets picked up.   It has been this way for years, but wasn't always like this.

I wanted to add I booked the Lodge last week.

Book ONLINE!

The service desk is terrible as all other places

ive been going 40 years

The night rates have dropped close to 150 a night and you don’t have to book the 4 days any longer

i love booking the lodge early , I’m in guys!

probably bringing the Bentley or Model A again

enjoy

i think my rate all in with triple a was 379 a night as I recall

With taxes it has always been around 400 a night.   Not having to do the 4 nights anymore is a plus.

Yeah , I check in Wednesday and check out friday

its only two nights!

your at the best place that’s clean and good food and the auctions

It’s a 100 more a night on average to everything else

Who cares I’m to old at 58 to drive 39 miles for a dump out of town

remember 5 years ago it was 499 a night with 4 days package no exceptions

and they made you Prepay for next year!

if you got on the list average wait time 7 years to get in.

it was over 2 grand , that got many including me mad and went to another hotel

but many are gone now so enjoy it

Booked at the Hershey Lodge. Cheaper than the Tru Hotel I had booked through Hilton Honors and also cheaper than where we were last year at the Hampton.

Thanks for the tip in the Speedster. Got right through to reservations and had no problems making the reservation.

A GREAT small step from Hershey Lodge

Hopefully returning to the days BEFORE they became WOKE!

We spend a lot of money in the area for the week…..

Picking UP the phone , actually responding to a call or email is refreshing.

Most of the original staff quit over the last couple of years when they went down woke road.

Hopefully common sense and a return to taking care of their customers return.

Been going to the lodge 30 years but the last 4 were terrible service wise.

Looks like they are trying to be HUMAN again.

See you all in October
