For sale 1968 Cadillac Eldorado. 472 V8 with 375hp. Headlight covers working. Only 1967&1968 had headlight covers. New seats (got them from upholstery man and need to clean chalk lines). Also have seat buttons and can get them installed. Headliner in good shape. Dashboard in good shape. 46400 miles. Runs & drives good. Brakes are little soft. Comes with MI clean title. It's missing the hood front edge molding as well as both rear wheelhouse moldings.  The driver's seat looks wet on the seatback and bench.  The black houndstooth interior doesn't go well with the exterior.  The Cadillac crests on the roof were only used on the '67.

The 68 I restored back in the 80s was originally similar to this color and had this houndstooth cloth interior. I'm sure the paint is new and the missing trim makes me suspicious of how much rust repair was done.

It looks like the optional Spectre Blue Firemist metallic color for that year.  It would be surprising for someone to have ordered that since it has the houndstooth cloth interior instead of leather.  The color chip looks too dark.  Mine is Emperor Blue and the sample of it looks almost black.

Could it be that the paint is new and is basecoat-clearcoat, 

too shiny to look appropriate for 1968?  It appears that way:
