Weren't they all "together at one time"?

I would hope so.  Vim trucks were made in Philadelphia PA.  A pair of Vim trucks were usually on display each year at the June ATCA truck show in Macungie PA.  Years ago I had found a Vim radiator badge at an antique mall for cheap as not many people knew what it was.  I sold it at the truck show for considerably more.

Except kit-cars, most of which have never been, and never will be, together.

He means the truck was always a truck and disassemble for restoration as opposed to about half the model a and t fords in the world built up from parts and floor sweepings.

Agreed - I also think the owner is more referring to how in the photos it appears they made a new wood body for it. Looks like they disassembled it back down to the frame and that’s where it is now sitting.
