1938 Steyr For Sale $15K Hubertus WI

Recommended Posts

I have never seen one of these before so I thought someone might be able to comment on it.  The exterior looks good but I don't know anything about Austrian Autos.   I really like the 4 door and I think that is one of the most basic dashboards I have ever seen.  Is $15K a good value or is this an example of rarity does not translate in value?

Not mine.

Actually, the correct spelling is STEYR

Steyr was an Austrian automotive brand, established in 1915 as a branch of the Österreichische Waffenfabriks-Gesellschaft (ÖWG) weapon manufacturing company. Renamed Steyr-Werke AG in 1926 and merged with Austro-Daimler and Puch into Steyr-Daimler-Puch AG, it continued manufacturing Steyr automobiles until 1959.

1938 Styer 200

$15,000

Seller's description:
This car was built in Austria during WWII. I can only find pictures of 1 other car known to exist. From 1936 to 1940 only 5,040 cars were built. So this is an extremely ware car knowing metal was in short supply and needed for the war most car did not survive. It is a running driving car and from what I can see the car is original. It was repainted and the interior was replaced 20-30 years age. The under-side looks like undercoating was sprayed on it but don’t know if that was stock or now. The radiator is original and holds water. There are some Issues, oil leaks, Speedometer, Parking light, dome lights, side flip up markers and other little things.
