1952 Cornet

Recommended Posts

I'm the latest caretaker of this 52 Cornet.  Just over 16,000 miles.  Was one of the unsold cars from Bob Hooper's Plainsview Texas dealership.  The previous owner had it for 28 years, and he got it with under 1000 miles I believe.  It has had mechanical repairs brakes tires etc.  Original paint and interior, except for the floor mat and kick panels. I have been polishing and am not quite done but most of it has come out quite good.

Chrysler and Imperial first got the Hemi head OHV8 in 1951
DeSoto got it in 1952.
Dodge got it in 1953.
Plymouth did not get the first generation Hemi engine.

Good & useful history, thanks. I appreciate the early hemis and considered buying one for my panel truck restoration.
