Two weeks ago, I sold my 65 Corvette that just got to expensive to drive. I was getting between 10 and 12 mpg using premium gas, that is $1.00 or more per gallon above the price of regular. I've been looking at a replacement car that has either a four or a six cylinder engine. Dart, Falcon, Nova, Volkswagen or something similar. I want an older car that I can take on a road trip, without breaking the bank.

I have three of the 'newer' Mustang's. The 1998 convertible is my wife's. I bought it for her in 1997 on her birthday. The 2001 Mustang Bullitt GT was my daughters. She bought it new, and I bought it from her in 2006. The Grabber Orange 2007 is my daily driver, also bought new.

The 10-11 mpg on premium, was one of my reasons for selling my 65 Corvette last week. My 85 Oldsmobile Calais gets 27 mpg on regular around town.

I have 427 built 1/25 scale models. Some go back to 1958, when i started this 'small' hobby. I remember $.69 spray paint, now it's almost $9.00. The AMT models were priced at $1.29, now I see them at over $40. The detail is better, but with the price of paint, the initial purchase, I don't build as many anymore.

I've been riding this bicycle since 1969.
