B Jake Moran
He doesn’t want to sell it, he knows what he has. 😯 No mention of AC status or whether those power accessories all work. Only one head gasket replaced?

When luxury car makers offered at least 20 colors, it's a shame to see so many convertibles in red, black, or white. I enjoy seeing something a bit different, as long as it's in good taste. 3

Thanks for your alertness, m-mman. I see it now that you pointed it out. A truly honest seller would point out such deficiencies. Comments like yours are very helpful, and may save someone considerable disappointment and expense.
rocketraider
My guess is the car is several years older than the seller and he only thinks he knows what he has. Maybe not dishonest, just ignorant.
B Jake Moran
Reached out to him and mentioned his issues. His response was unpleasant. This is not a car I would be wary of this car.

When deficiencies are pointed out by a polite customer, the seller of good character freely admits them. He'll still be friendly--because, after all, it's still an enjoyable car-- and he accepts the correction with humility. Dishonest sellers don't like being exposed. They may be more likely to react the way you experienced, Jake. Obviously we don't know this man, but the signs aren't good.
rocketraider
I suspect this seller may end up getting to know what he has even better. Better to accept constructive criticism and correct the issues ahead of time than to be confronted over them by someone who drove several hours to see the car. 1
