Hi all, I bought this LHD column in 2014 at Hershey for the wood wheel rim. Can anyone ID this steering box? the guy selling wasn't sure but thought it may be Hudson? The 2 levers shown came off the top of the column and fit splined control rods, Any ideas TIA

Box looks to me as it may be a "Jaycox" unit. Hupp used them up to 1924 when GM bought the company (it eventually became Saginaw gear Co). The levers are wrong for a Hupp so I would think Buick or other make from the GM lineup.

Update,

I found some more bits off the steering column today in my shed. A bracket and small gear that fits on the bottom of the steering column for a gear driven light switch, I will take pictures tomorrow to post , but can anyone confirm if Studebaker had a gear driven light switch at the bottom of the steering column that was operated from a control lever in the middle of the steering wheel, ?? thanks

Thanks for all the help guys, much appreciate the feedback.

The levers, gears , tubes , switch mounting bracket, plus a switch (I bought from another source) that will fit the bracket are heading back to the states for a new owner.

The steering box (or the parts inside) and steering wheel are available for sale, if you are desperate enough to pay the freight from Zimbabwe.
