First GM car with a down draft carburetor?

This thought crossed my head while searching for an air cleaner for my ‘30 Chevrolet coupe.  1932 was the first year for Chevrolet (Carter W1).

But I believe the first GM car equipped with a down draft carburetor was the 1930 Oakland V8 (Marvel).

Can anyone confirm or deny my suspicions?

Kind regards,

I pulled an old Dykes manual off the shelf to check on this.

I got a little chuckle from the statement that the Stromberg Model "D" downdraft was aided by the force of gravity instead of suction. Oh, really. Jon, what do you think of that?
