Unknown Hood Ornament

Found this cleaning out my Dads workshop. Can not link it to a make or model. Would love to hear peoples thoughts on what vehicle it might have appeared on.

My thoughts too, though it has elements of Pierce (archer), Flying Lady (Cadillac, notably) and a goddess of the sea.

 

Could be a conglomeration of themes related to Diana/Artemis, goddess of the hunt. I don't know what a Diana car hood ornament looks like, so this is just throwing out ideas.

It’s tiny…….made for a small car.

I don't see it in either of my mascot books. Is it aluminum or diecast? It looks a little too detailed and dainty to be a cheap aftermarket thing especially if diecast. Impurities in cheap diecast made it swell and crack after many years,if yours is diecast,it appears to be the quality kind. Hopefully your post will go on for awhile and the thing will be figured out eventually. Good luck.

It appears to be diecast. It’s quite heavy.

Looks to me like it's made to mount in radiator cap , like a motor Meter does. I'm betting aftermarket accessory.
