Recommended Posts

not 1929.

earlier than 1927

Many sold by various auto suppliers, I have some with their names on price stickers still inside hubcap.

some few have stamping in side "Hudson"

Lot of folks think their favorite car co made every single part on the car................we know better.

I would have never guessed that Essex caps were reproduced. Did not think the Essex line of cars had a big following in the 20’s.

Essex was a big seller in the early 20s, they were one of the first to market a low priced closed car and it sold very well.

They look just like a hundred such hubcaps I have seen at swap meets over the years. I don't offhand know what years used that style. However, I have seen a few cars with them over the years. I don't see many Essex automobiles. Almost bought one once though.
