bryankazmer
I think the blank-out looks pretty cool too.
Walt G
Neat car. Perhaps you should mention if you want one that is unrestored and complete, just the face to fill the dashboard, a restored one, - did it have a separate speaker that mounted on the inside of the firewall inside the car ? if so will you need that too? The more specific you are the better the chances you may have in finding what you seek .
rocketraider
Both the radio and clock blank-off plates are plenty stylish. Note they are BLANK-OFF plates, not "RADIO DELETE" or "CLOCK DELETE" plates. A pet peeve... Check around some antique radio websites too. You may find a suitable radio and someone who can service it. To expand on Walt's post, you can look for an OEM Delco set, or there were a number of aftermarket auto radio suppliers then. Motorola is probably the best known, but Firestone and Philco are also common. Old radios are another fascinating hobby!😎
Steve_Mack_CT
Cannot help but nice looking 39. Great year for Chevy styling. Rare options for 39 also included back up lights, full wheelcovers and a cool steering wheel.

61polara
Note that the recessed areas on the radio buttons are for drop-in small cards with the call letters printed on them. These were supplied with the radio.
Steve_Mack_CT
OP appears to be a one and done guest... Why wouldn't someone with a nice original prewar car not stick around??
