Guest
Nice looking car, although there appears to be several errors in the listing. https://fresno.craigslist.org/ctd/d/sacramento-1937-buick/7487040177.html Offered for sale is this magnificent example of a 1937 Buick Roadmaster F-81 Limo. As one can see from the photos, this vehicle is in immaculate condition both inside and out. The Buick runs and drives as well as it looks. This all-original Buick is truly a time capsule. The more time you spend with this vehicle the more you start to notice new intricate details. The 320 Cubic Inch Overhead Valve V8 is in excellent condition and the drivetrain in this vehicle runs beautifully. This Buick was just given a full inspection and service, so it is ready to enjoy! 60s GM Fan
Oh god I wish I had the space/funds to get this. Sadly when you get married you have to run deals like this past the wife.
supercub
That's one huge car, and pretty also.
classiclines
Looks good! As a non-Buick expert, I'd be interested in the 'errors' in the listing. One more pic...
dibarlaw
Well, the listing does have it as a V8. It may have not originally had side mounts as it has a trunk mounted spare. The rough ID plate on the firewall looks to be from another car as these were riveted on not with pan head sheet metal screws.
suchan
There’s no such thing as a 1937 80-series limo. If the ID plate photo was better, that’d help. Looks like a nice driver.
Grimy
1 hour ago, dibarlaw said: It may have not originally had side mounts as it has a trunk mounted spare On the other hand, it is possible that the person who refurbished/restored the car added the shelf and hold-down and spare wheel and tire to the trunk to use as a functional spare, rather than risk scarring the sidemount covers and front fenders when a flat happens. I know of several cars of other marques where this has been done for that reason by owners who actually tour a good deal. Not a big deal if I were interested, but the ID plate is a concern of mine. And no division glass means it's a sedan, not a limo.
MCHinson
It looks to me like it is a Model 81, Roadmaster 4-Door Sedan - Trunk Back, 6-Passenger, which is not technically a Limo, but many people might describe it as a Limo. It certainly does look nicely done. The large series Sedans have not been bringing as much money as they used to lately, but that one looks like a fair price for a good car to me. I am not a fan of the electric fuel pump being added inside the engine comparment or the rubber fuel line, but the rest of the restoration work appears to be well done based on the photos.
