Laughing Coyote
Nice looking Packard. Not mine. https://tucson.craigslist.org/cto/d/benson-1948-packard-standard-woody-wagon/7478293482.html The exterior features two-toned wood paneling in good condition, complemented by green fenders and hood. The 288ci straight-8 engine was rebuilt. Starts easily and runs butter smooth. The engine is paired with a 3-speed manual transmission. The interior is finished in red and green plaid, providing a beautiful contrast to the wood trim. The engine bay is tidy with long straight 8 Packard power. Very rare find…..Between the years 1948-1950 there was only a total of 3,864 made. Only a handful are probably left. Greg (970) 985-1633
The 55er
I think it would be safe to say that there are more than just a "handful" of these left in existence.

Crusty Trucker
May be a flipper or an unsuccessful auction seller. This wagon was listed with Barrett-Jackson at one time, but I can't access their results/history on line for some reason. I also found this link to a possible Pendleton Wool/Disneyland connection: https://blog.pendleton-usa.com/2015/10/02/when-pendleton-meets-packard-a-disneyland-mystery/ Also currently listed here: https://www.guyswithrides.com/2022/04/06/48-packard-station-sedan/ Also a possible Roy Clark/Disneyland connection. Leake Auctions sold off his car collection in 2918 containing a very similar woodie, but no interior photos found. 58L-Y8
Although the dark green vinyl with contrasting red Taran plaid is attractive. the only correct interior for the body style 2293 Eight Station Sedan is Trim No. 614: tan imitation leather with tan woven plastic cloth inserts. neil morse
Looks like someone wanted the Chrysler "Highlander" interior option in their Packard. It's not unattractive, but clearly not correct.
Jeff Perkins / Mn
I agree with you @neil morse…..I actually considered doing something like that with my Station Sedan due to the unavailability of correct materials. However I went with a simple grained vinyl as shown. Now I do have a actual Chrysler Highlander and love the look and feel of that interior.
