SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY PLEASE.
THS CAR IS AN ALL ORIGINAL SURVIVOR.
Rare, only 500 of this model were made, Last I knew only 45 survive.
Came from the desert south of San Diego, I have owned it for 12 years.
First, no body rust or frame corrosion, glass is green tinted and all good, everything on this car works, lights, accessories, gauges, wipers, fans, heater, etc.
All power, brakes, steering, front seat, windows and antenna.
The following is everything I know about this car and what work I have done since I owned it.
MECHANICALS:
Engine rebuilt before I owned it, bored out slightly, all new bearings.
New dual exhaust system.
All new brake parts and drums, rebuilt Bendix power brake unit.
Power steering pump rebuilt, new pressure hose.
Gas tank cleaned, gauge working.
Rochester 4 barrel carb professionally rebuilt, intake manifold cleaned and trued, new gasket.
Valve job done with chrome exhaust valve seats, new gaskets.
Hydraulic valve lifters cleaned and checked, push rods all good.
New fuel pump.
Rebuilt Delco distributor, all new ignition parts.
Starter, generator and voltage regulator rebuilt.
Torsion level ride motor rebuilt and leveler working.
Radiator cleaned and rebuilt.
Water pump rebuilt with new gaskets.
Radial tires.
Vacuum wipers working.
All electrical contacts cleaned.
Twin Ultramatic transmission working, does have small leak front seal.
EXTERIOR
Original paint color, a factory option, called Coral and frost white trim.
Scratches and dings but she wears her scars proudly. Appears that rear deck and left front may have been repaired and/or repainted years ago.
Rear fender skirts available but not on the car.
Chrome front and rear bumpers good, no flaking or rust.
Glass is all green tinted, driver door and right rear passenger glass recently replaced. Rear window intact, no cracks.
Windshield has one small crack that has not grown on the right corner.
Headlights, parking lights, tail lights and side entry lights all original and working,
Chrome trim and panels very good, right rear white panel has scrape marks, chrome trim above it damaged.
Emblems all original
INTERIOR
Panoramic style windshield.
Front door panels rebuilt, two rear need work. Silver brocaid on seats is very good, but the grey flannel has sun damage and some wet damage on both seats, a few tears as well. Foam padding has deteriorated and will need replacing. Headliner in very good condition, no rips tears, or sags, sun shades are excellent.
Windlass on edges shows wear.
Vinyl on dash top intact, no cracks.
Door seals are worn or completely off, hardened with age.
Rug gone and original jute pads as well, replacement is okay.
All doors lock properly.
Trunk has most of its original lining.
ACCESSORIES
Cartridge style oil filter.
Radio has a Wonder Bar, was working but needs a vibrator.
Dash light and side lights come on when door is opened. Rear interior light on a column switch.
Heaters working, front and rear, both fans work, defroster working.
New glove box interior, locking door.
Clock is mechanical and works.
Power antenna works.
Power front seat and all power windows work.
Windshield washer jar intact but not hooked up.
The car drives and handles very well for one of its age, a big road machine, actually. Engine runs exceptionally well, cold starts run rough a bit until engine comes to temp, has a 165 degree thermostat installed.
Pickup and power is exceptional for the size and weight of the car.
I spent most of my time insuring the car was mechanically sound. The interior shows the most wear due to aging of the cloth and foam.
The driver floor pan was repaired with fiberglass by the previous owner, looks like it just wore through.
Parts for this car are surprisingly available from several sources.
Comes with a shop manual, a parts list book and a sales brochure of the year.
Price is firm. Collector Car Book lists this car as a condition three original, $10,200. I am asking $8,000. I will not entertain low ball offers.

I’ll bet shipping to the US could easily approach the sales price if not more. Nice dream though.

Car is in Torrington Connecticut.  The person who posted the ad lives in Germany and saw it on a US Facebook listing.
