Brandon Todd
Hello all. My heater core is junk on my 57 Buick Special. Anyone know where to find a replacement? Thanks!
JohnD1956
Id try browne auto salvage I got one for the 56 from the former Ken Reeves place several years ago, and it was like new. I still took it to my preferred radiator shop to check it and repair it if needed, but it was good to go. Chances are yours can be fixed too by a competent shop. It is a similar process to having your radiator recored.

Wayne R
Also Brandon---used from a dismantler,, some other makes and models will fit as well, i remember years ago when i was in Sacramento i purchased a heater core from a local pick and pull from a 76--78---Cadillac deville and it fit my 65 Riviera, infact for memory i think it fitted better because there was a little more clearance , also have to be sure where the inlet and outlet connections are position. and test it before fitting.---regards. Smartin
Find a local radiator shop and they can repair or recore. I've done a bunch of them on the 57-58's. Seems like every car that rolls through here has a bad heater core.
Brandon Todd
Thanks, all! I found a local radiator repair shop near me, (not much around these days!), and will see if they will be able to fix it. If not I may try purchasing one made for a different car like a couple suggested.
Smartin
Don’t cobble it together with some random core. If your guy can’t do it, send it to me and I’ll have my radiator guy recore it. Usually runs about $200👍 1
