JeRita
In the mid 70's I purchased a '52 or '53 International suburban from a NYS trooper in the Adirondacks. It had wood sides added to the steel body and was originally owned by the Vanderbilt family camp to shuttle guests from the train station to the camp. The last time I saw it it the steel was painted gold and the wood done in oak and mahogany. That was around '76. and it was going to auction in Harrisburg PA. I was wondering if anyone has ever seen it again. Thanks JeRita

Dandy Dave
I googled 1952 International Woody and came up with some photos. Here's one from 1952. Not common, but they're out there. https://bringatrailer.com/2009/11/29/the-whole-forest-1952-international-l-122-woody/ Here's a 1954 from an Auction site. https://www.mecum.com/lots/CA0813-161611/1954-international-harvester-r140-woody/ Edited June 7, 2021 by Dandy Dave (see edit history)

Dandy Dave
We had two International pick ups on the farm when I was a young un. My dad bought a new 1966 and a new 1972 from Ben Funk Inc back in the day. So I do have a soft spot for them. Dandy Dave!

rocketraider
😻 I see needing a step stool to clean windows is nothing new. Have to drag one out every time I wash the 08 F150. And there were no plastic ones when that big Harvester roamed Earth, and possibly not even metal ones unless you could sneak Mama's Cosco out of the kitchen without Mama seeing!😏 That left yer two-step wooden ladder, if you had one.
