6T-FinSeeker
For sale on Craigslist: 1959 Ford Galaxie 500 4-door in Butler, PA - $18,000 - Call: 724 504 23 seven five Link: https://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/cto/d/butler-1959-ford-galaxie-500/7328078944.html Seller's Description: 1959 Ford Galaxie 500 4-door condition: excellent cylinders: 8 cylinders transmission: automatic odometer: 82,000 paint color: black title status: clean 1959 Ford Galaxie 500 This was My Dad's car. He passed away in Sept 2019. The car was not driven much prior to his death. Reluctantly Mom said to sell the car since we are not driving it. I drove the car last summer several times enough to run a complete tank of gas through it and put in fresh non ethanol gas in it to fill it and kept it full so that it would not get moisture in the tank. Last summer I had Chris Cox Auto in Prospect flush the brake fluid and make sure all the brakes were working properly. We have the receipt for that. The car has older bias ply tires on it. 332 V8 no power steering or power brakes It has 4-50 Air (put down the 4 windows and go 50 MPH) I'll have to look at the odometer but the mileage is around 82K I think the seats are original as is the rest of the interior If you are a serious buyer let me know and I'll show and drive the car with you. The car is at my Mom's house in Butler Pa and I live close by. Mom has the title. Calls only I don't like to text. Evenings are best, I get home at 5 and I am off Thursday-Friday I work Saturday-Wednesday. kingrudy
Wow, super clean Galaxie and apparently everything in tact. Great looking interior and the paint looks good too. I don't know if the '59s bring this kind of money, but it they do then it will be this one. Neat as a pin.

John_S_in_Penna
It appears that this flipper isn't being forthright: "Unfortunately must sell," he says. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt: Maybe he lost his job or had a sudden reversal in finances. But then, for this 4-door Ford, wouldn't he post a realistic price to recoup his funds soon? Why is he trying for a mark-up that's almost 100%?
TAKerry
Its called capitalism. I find no fault with someone doing this. Everyone in the world had a chance to buy this car from the seller at 18k. This guy took a chance to try and make some money on the deal. More power to him if he gets the asking price. "must sell" because thats how he makes a living! I would do this kind of thing myself but it seems if I bought it for 18k it would actually be worth 10k and I would be lucky to get 5k!! Personally I see no difference between this and a used car dealer. Someone trying to make money buying and selling cars.
John_S_in_Penna
I would state these standards for me to respect a flipper. Certainly there are respectable ones: ---Put a realistic mark-up on it. Is it a fair profit, or is it greed? A higher power decides what's in your heart. And if he adds value by fixing some problems, that's good. ---Be perfectly honest about the motivation for selling. "Must sell" sounds like sophistry to me. ---Be perfectly honest about all aspects of the car. Capitalism works best when people treat each other well. TAKerry
John, I dont completely disagree with you. My personal philosophy has always been to treat someone the way I want to be treated. Could the 'flip' be done with a bit more class? most def.
