Where might I find someone with knowledge on a 1983 Riviera Convertible?

My 83 top works fine EXCEPT for the latching aspect, it appears to pull to the left

[ passenger side ] & is somewhat difficult to get latched.

I'm hoping someone out there can tell me if there is a adjustment or something

I should check on.

I agree. I have, for some time,  thought these are the most collectable of all US made '80s cars.

ON MY 81 CONVERTIBLE the latch itself can be srewed in or out for adjustment hope this helps

I have an '86 Park Ave convertible with a similar top bow and latch. You may be a little low on fluid and not getting enough to one of the rams. Check the level in the reservoir. Mine has come up short of the header at times. You can also lightly lubricate the top joints with light oil.

 

I know I don't actuate mine enough. I put it down about 3 weeks ago and unless something out of the ordinary comes up the top will be down until November now.

1st year I went to the Indy 500 this was the Pace Car. I bought a 1982 white Riv convertible a few years later. Was a really nice car.

Google Buick Riviera Converible and look for a site dedicated to this generation convertible. Lots of cool history.  If I remember correctly, Buick robbed the Pontiac Sunbird convertible parts bin for the latches.
