Malo48
Wow - I never thought much about the '57 models but there have been a lot posted here lately that I really like. The Peter Epsteen dealership has a lot of ties to the Rat Pack (as well as the underworld) - Sinatra, Martin, and Sammy Davis recorded radio spots for the Epsteen dealership in the Chicago area. Guest
I'm not sure how accurate the seller's description is, but perhaps it's not intentional. In the 1960's Epsteen was the highest volume seller of Pontiacs (not Cadillacs) in the nation, out of his dealership in Skokie, IL. which is only about 11 hours from where the car is being listed for sale today. He didn't open a dealership here in the desert until 1971 and that was as a Honda dealer (closed in 1988). He also had a Rolls Royce dealership here in CA. Jessup Cadillac has been the only Cadillac dealership here in Palm Springs since 1938 and they are still in business today (3rd generation). I just can't see this car having any value at all as a trade-in, in the 1970's or 80's. Especially at a Honda dealership. If I had to guess, and this is just a guess, I'd say someone added the dealership sticker at a later date to add a little glamour to this former queen of the highway. The sticker just does not show 64 years of life, as does the paint and chrome on this car. In fact, it looks quite new. And, interestingly, Epsteen's dealership was not in "Palm Springs". It was actually next door to us in Cathedral City, CA. Also, most of these dealership stickers were applied to the body in a highly visible area, usually the trunk lid on the painted surface, rather than way down low on the bumper as the Cadillac in question has . I also believe most American dealer stickers and metal badges were placed on the driver's side or center of the car rather than on the passenger side for obvious reasons. While the Palm Springs window sticker looks vintage, it is actually new and they currently sell on eBay for about $4.00 https://www.ebay.com/itm/Palm-Springs-California-Vintage-Style-Travel-Decal-sticker/224397073201?hash=item343f1b9b31:g:qoUAAOxyE-dRyfkL If the current seller did not install the window and bumper stickers, I can see where he could make the connection though. All just surmise of course, I could be wrong. Cheers, Greg Edited March 25, 2021 by GregLaR (see edit history)

Most have some interesting history, and several of their buildings still stand. Jessup Cadillac's first location in 1938 still stands, right on the strip downtown. What most don't know today is that it has an underground parking area that covers more than half a city block. Been down there too! 😄 Edited March 24, 2021 by GregLaR (see edit history)

Guest
I will do that JP. I know I took a bunch of pics when I was down there but that was 15 or 16 years ago. So it may be easier to go take new ones rather than try to locate the old ones.
