Strange color combination.

Pslomino buckets were an option - whether it was available with the blue exterior I don't know.

If you imagine the brown/tan interior as an attempt at replicating the all leather look of a prewar open Classic it makes more sense. 

Think of a 31 Cadillac roadster dark blue with tan/brown leather . . . .

I think it would be a sharp looking car if the body were some type of medium to dark green with that interior.

I love it.  Great colors.  Really a nice not very often seen car. I have to believe the buckets were rarely seen and an extremely small percentage of these had them.

The color combination reminds me a lot of another popular combo that Ford offered in the late '70s and early '80s. This Navy Blue and Saddle Tan duo was quite common. You could see it on Mercury Cougars, Ford Thunderbirds and Lincoln Marks:
