This super cool piece of automotive extravagance raises garish to an art form. Not as butugly as that fish faced '58 Packard 'wagon we were admiring a few days ago, but, ahhh, looka here. The period of late '50s - early '60s excess should be in a show class of its own. No, this is a full-on specimen of the best of the beasts from the hey day of the good old cold war, when the USA out produced everyone. What simple times. Wonder if the A/C works ? - CC

Ed Luddy
A quote from Tom on the 54 DeSoto one of my favorites the 1954 De Soto is "as solid as the Rock of Gibraltar and just as fast."

This is pg.1 of his review Ed, Thank you so much for posting Tom McCahill's review of the 62 Imperial -- thoroughly enjoyed the read! Wish I had room in the garage but this beauty is just a little too big! 🙂 The pop song "Love Shack" by the B-52's aptly describes this car: "I got me a car, it's as big as a whaleAnd we're headin' on down to the love shackI got me a chrysler, it seats about twentySo hurry up and bring your jukebox money..." "Hop in my chrysler, it's as big as a whale And it's about to set sail I got me a car, it seats about twenty, so come on And bring your jukebox money" Those were much better days. Ed Luddy
I'm on the wrong side of the border with low cash and an even lower Canadian dollar. Also no garage storage for this behemoth ( the reason I sold my 1973 Imperial). The minty green color and green interior are great looking!
