Obviously a glass plate negative was used as the clarity and sharpness of the photos is incredible. Bottom one may be in Pasadena, Ca.? there is a banner on one of the open tour buses. EDIT: (c. 1920) Fifth Street and Spanish-American War monument in Pershing Square - Los Angeles, CA The other one looks like D.C. to me (can barely see the Capitol in the distance). Inauguration ?
