J3Studio
Jason is (of course) correct. It took another 15 years for four wheel disc brakes to become standard.
Pat Curran
Buick offered 4 wheel disc brakes on the 77-78 generation Riv. They were so proud of it that they put a disc brake emblem on the rear quarter panels.

mobileparts
Of course, they started -- a very rare factory option -- on a very few 1965 & 1966 -- and some more on 1967 - 1969 with the four piston calipers -- and about the same -- still a low percentage in 1970, but with a different rotor and single piston calipers..... Incidentally, if you are reading this, I do have the very tough to find ++ N.O.S. ++ Asbestos ++ Brake Pads for the 1967 - 1969 application. And -------- if you have some NEW N.O.S. Hub & Rotor Assemblies for that same application -- I will buy them -- call me instantly.... Craig 516 - 485 - 1935......
Chimera
1971 is a good year for the Riviera in terms of standard options (and GS package is awesome too!). Here is a set out of a 68 GS.
