Danrlemire
Hey guys, my 36 Special runs great but burns oil a little...blue smoke at idle and at stop lights. Is there any product out there that I can add to the oil that might help? Thanks
Guest
A compression test including a leak down test is in order. A vacuum test would give you some information. Maybe you car just needs a hundred mile run at speed or a twenty mile run at 45mph in second gear. There is really no "snake oil" cure unless it is just carboned up a bit. The tests would confirm whether your car needs a run or an overhaul. Good luck.

Morgan Wright
If it only smokes at idle and stop lights, then don't idle, and run all stop lights.
50jetback
It's over 18 - it can smoke if it wants!! 1
John_Mereness
Try adding some marvel mystery oil to your oil and/or gas - may smoke some more then, but seems to long term help with original engines with sticking rings and valves.
valk
It will also smoke like that if gas has somehow mixed with the oil.
