Chrysler 75
Hi guys, we have a Chrysler ( ? ) 8 cylinder engine and we do not know what type or year it is ( see pictures below and in the gallery). Is it marine or car and if so , which type? It surely is not 1927. Can anyone bring some light in this darkness? regards Pete Edited April 27, 2019 by Chrysler 75 (see edit history)

Imp1931
Here are some more pictures of the engine , cilinderhead and the car, The car is registtred as a Chrysler Special, but if the engine is not Chrysler, then what is the origin? I am looking for a new cylinderhead, because the old one is cracked.

Layden B
Packard is very similar but this one is a match! You could check if your head gasket has a number on it. Now you can advertise "Wanted".
Bloo
For a head, I would PM KornKurt in this forum, or try California Pontiac Restoration. One of the two might have something. Have all those numbers you showed us ready. I don't have any new enough books to make sense of your numbers. I am pretty sure it is newer than 1937. The Pontiac Straight Eight was made from 1933-1954.
