nick8086
R-12?
Frank DuVal
Yes, R-12. But what is the bottom of the can doing pouched out? Does it still weigh 12 ounces plus can? Yes, see them for sale on Ebay (with normal bottoms). Read their auctions and see what they say in their ads.

Almost went boom. Its funny, the can says "Unique can design". Yeah, I'll say! Edited January 16, 2019 by Real Steel (see edit history)

It looks very unstable....... Edited January 16, 2019 by nick8086 (see edit history)
George Smolinski
Nick, Remind me never to visit your shop/garage, wherever you store your cans.......toxic waste, potential bombs..... 2
gossp
For a while they were worth their weight in gold but that has diminished some. There are still a lot of cars and small refrigerators running r12 and nobody has a big jug of it in their service van anymore. I would save them... you will have a 60’s-early 90’s car with factory air some day that needs a drink of that stuff. I am not a fan of converting the big old compressors to 134a. misslacey
Most likely, I've seen it done before but the prices have gone down
28 Chrysler
Well the internal pressure will be lower in the can now. If the can rusts through the only thing you will notice is the can will get lighter. Still usable, use this one first.
